About

African Earth Energy Group is advancing South Africa's clean energy revolution with the 5 MW Mokopane Solar Farm in Mokopane, Limpopo. By harnessing the region's abundant sunlight, this project delivers reliable renewable energy, promoting economic growth and environmental stewardship in local communities.

Project Impact

Set for grid connection in 2029, Mokopane Solar Farm will reshape Limpopo's energy landscape by generating 5 MW of clean power. The project will create 20 direct jobs during construction, 60 indirect jobs, and 3 permanent positions, enhancing local employment and sustainable development.

Carbon Emissions

Mokopane Solar Farm will reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 3,267 metric tons annually, equivalent to removing ~710 passenger cars from the road each year (based on ~4.6 metric tons CO₂/car/year). This initiative supports South Africa's climate goals, contributing to a greener future.

Location

Located in the sun-rich Mokopane region of Limpopo, Mokopane Solar Farm is ideally positioned to maximize solar energy production. The region's high solar irradiance ensures optimal performance, making this project a key driver of sustainable energy development in South Africa.
