About

African Earth Energy Group is advancing South Africa's clean energy revolution with the 49 MW Mpumalanga Solar Farm in Mpumalanga. By harnessing the region's abundant sunlight, this project delivers reliable renewable energy, promoting economic growth and environmental stewardship in local communities.

Project Impact

Set for grid connection in 2029, Mpumalanga Solar Farm will reshape the region's energy landscape by generating 49 MW of clean power. The project will create 200 direct jobs during construction, 600 indirect jobs, and 20 permanent positions, significantly enhancing local employment and sustainable development.

Carbon Emissions

Mpumalanga Solar Farm will reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 32,013 metric tons annually, equivalent to removing ~6,959 passenger cars from the road each year (based on ~4.6 metric tons CO₂/car/year). This initiative strongly supports South Africa's climate goals, contributing to a greener future.

Location

Located in the sun-rich province of Mpumalanga, Mpumalanga Solar Farm is ideally positioned to maximize solar energy production. The region's high solar irradiance ensures optimal performance, making this project a key driver of sustainable energy development in South Africa.
